B is for Bronchitis...

Oh, it's that time of year again...I'm sick. Which sucks because I'm forced to go to work because I don't have the PTO saved up yet. Then work tells you not to come in if you are sick...but yet they don't want you to go negative PTO. It's a wicked circle. But I was able to take an early out one day and get to the doctor. I of coarse have a upper respiratory infection/bronchitis. I think I caught it early this time around. I am sick, but not like I usually get. In the past I normally wait until I'm almost dead and my husband is pleading with me, before I head to the doctor. I think this time around I am a little more paranoid because of all of the H1N1 junk going around, to take better care of myself. I am even getting a flu shot next week.
Kurt is sick too, and so is Maysun. She bounced back quicker than us old fogies. Kurt and I both feel like road kill. I am making sure to get to bed early (thanks to the good people at NyQuil) and getting lots of restful sleep...aka...Nyquil induced Coma! Which means that I had to miss seeing my favorite band this past Tuesday night. ~Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers~ ( www.azpeacemakers.com ) It was the first time in FIVE years that they played in Appleton, and I chose to stay home and die. So I am now trying to convince Kurt to go to see them play in Madison tomorrow night. He doesn't mind the band, but I can tell he would rather be doing other things with his Saturday night. Well, hopefully I get my way :)!!! he he.

In other Rosenthal-Mayer family news, we finally got our new (to us) vehicle!!! (YAY!) We got a 2008 Toyota Highlander. It's only got 11,000 miles on it, it's burgundy and it's got the super nice 3rd row of seats that fold down!!! I LOVE it. We had been test driving since April/May. We did our homework and shopped around A LOT! (Not kidding when I say that we must have test driven 16+ highlanders!) We finally settled on one down by Milwaukee from a somewhat private seller. We picked it up the end of August. It still takes some getting used to. (like I forget to turn on the headlights, or cannot remember which way you have to move the lever to make the wipers turn on, etc...) We were able to sell my old Bonneville. It now belongs to one of Kurt's friends. So we still get to hear about her temperament and issues. (that's the bad thing about selling to a friend!) I just hope she's in good hands. She was a good car and I do miss her. (sniffle...sniffle) But, I like the Highlander better!!! (we're still in the 'honeymoon' stage of ownership) Though my first payment was taken out of our checking today...
